Recognising and rewarding members is an important part of a membership organisations, so we enjoyed helping the Royal College of Pathologists redesign their awards for 2026.

Our goal was to move beyond a generic award and create a set of awards that felt connected to the world of pathology. They needed a flexible system to distinguish different categories while maintaining a cohesive and elegant brand identity.
We used elements of their identity to create a ribbon like effect and developed a range of colours and forms that allowed the team to create distinct awards for different themes.
We also reimagined the physical award as a petri-dish or a view through a microscope - something that forms a key part of their members' training and early career.

The project also included considering how the design could support the award ceremony through their website, presentation backdrops and banners.
