We developed a new identity for Oxford University and RAND Europe to support the launch of a new rapid evaluation centre focussed on technology-enabled remote monitoring in health and care.
This project builds on our long term relationship with colleagues at Oxford University and with Dr Gemma Hughes, Associate Professor in Healthcare Management at the University of Leicester.
We ran a discovery workshop with the centre’s director, Professor Sara Shaw, where we responded to the challenge by focussing on the purpose, audience, values and personality that might underpin the new centre.
This led to the development of an identity that grows out of the overlapping values and forms a softened medical cross at its heart, as well as a stamp of approval if the trials are successful. The four values become a process of research – highlighting the fast and methodologically rich approach that the centre aims to apply to their research activities.
Following further meetings and internal reviews we developed an online identity guidance document that includes an introduction and overview, physical and digital touch points, content guidelines and dos and don’ts. This has been developed as an online resource so that assets can be kept up to date and are easy to access for team members.
Over the coming months we will be working on the development of project outputs which will be co-designed with the team and with project participants.
