We are working with the falls prevention team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to help turn their falls protocol into easy to use posters, flowcharts and tools to help staff across the trust keep patients mobile and prevent falls.
To support the development of these different touchpoints we ran a codesign workshop with a range of Imperial staff from the health and safety team to nurses, physiotherapists and doctors across the different Imperial sites.
The workshop included a creative idea sharing session, a review of initial ideas and the development of new posters by the staff.
Staff want clear and practical guides that are useful for teams both during training and on the wards. A big emphasis was on removing complexity whilst making sure that all situations are covered with links between physical and digital information to help new team members access more detailed support when needed.
We believe that designing with people rather than for them, is the key to good design. If you'd like to co-design useful and creative solutions to complex health and care challenges do get in touch.
