New UCL Neurology Centre building playbook

The new ION-DRI Centre is a collaborative space for UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, the UK Dementia research Institute and UCLH National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. We are working with the communications and building management team to develop an interactive ‘playbook’ that helps people find out more about the building, and to encourage everyone to make it a great place to work and visit.

The guide is being co-designed with the team and we are helping to craft the words and content to help the centre become a place for the community, build a culture for collaboration, support sustainability and include everyone.

The guide will include an overview of all the facilities including work spaces, core services, shared lab spaces, public areas and outpatient services. We hope that the digital guide will also be integrated into the physical signage and information systems within the building itself.

Each space within the building has a dedicated information section that explains what it is for, who it’s for, who manages it, how it can be accessed and why it’s been integrated into the building as well as direct links to the people who will be managing the space.

We are also developing floor by floor guides along withstories, help centres and idea sharing spaces so that the playbook becomes a live and interactive part of the ION-DRI community.

If you’d like to develop a playbook to support the practical, emotional and cultural aspects of your environment do get in touch.
