Karen Ang

Karen is committed to creating accurate and engaging scientific content. She studied Biology at the University of Nottingham, during which she interned in healthcare political affairs, PR and research. Since then, she has worked as an analyst for a healthcare regulator before moving on to develop behaviourally intelligent patient support programmes. She has also been involved in public engagement events run by the British Science Association and the Royal Society.

 

Understanding and supporting people with additional needs is the heart of Karen’s work. She has been a member of multiple patient groups, volunteers with several charities, and has extensive experience working with people with disabilities and mental health conditions. Her own therapeutic sport project for students has been nationally recognised and featured on Channel 4 news.
