Stefanie Schwarz

Stefanie Schwarz is a Communication Designer with a focus on typography and type design. She studied in Germany and the U.S. before completing an MA at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. Since 2006 Stefanie has worked as a freelance designer and for educational/academic institutions. She has been teaching at Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design since 2012. Stefanie is co-founder of the typographic research lab Open2Type. Her typefaces have been released by FontFont (Berlin), Indian Type Foundry (Ahmedabad) and T26 (Chicago). Her work has been on display at group exhibitions in the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the United States and Japan.
